Nikolai Alexandrovich Kachalov

As part of the project "Belozersk Zemstvo: the experience of success" with the financial support of the Charity program "Museums of the Russian North" PJSC "Severstal" to get acquainted with the work and representatives of local self–government of the XIX - early XX centuries, the staff of the Belozersk Museum prepared a series of videos.

In this video we will tell you about Nikolai Alexandrovich Kachalov, a nobleman of the Belozersky district, the first chairman of the Novgorod provincial Zemstvo council. We will also tell you about the activities of the zemstvo to ensure food security in the Novgorod province.
